Bring one poem that’s 3 minutes or under and read it on our open mic! No cover charge, but we’ll be passing a bucket to pay the featured poet.

After our open mic, each month we bring you a spotlight feature from a local poet. This month we feature Eliza Araújo.

Eliza Araújo is a Capricorn with too much Scorpio in her map. She is a Brazilian poet currently living in Amherst, MA. Her published books in Portuguese are “Segredo de Estado de Espírito” (2014, Editora LiteraCidade) and “Lusco-fusco” (2018, Editora Escaleras). She is also a PhD student in Afro Brazilian and Afro American literature by black women. She loves learning, talking, coffee and feeling feelings. She’s a proud introvert-extrovert and can’t sleep past 8.

Venue and stage are wheelchair accessible.
